I still have two dresses I bought at the Oberlin Mini Mart in 1987. It was such a rich thrift ecosystem.

Seriously-students coming and going and so many old folks homes. I wrote a song the summer I lived there called ‘Party at the Old Folks Home’ after going to a few to pick up donations.

Now I am looking up online to see what the jumpsuit might look like. I will never regret switching to thrifting and paying more for clothes.

I never do either. We’ve been trained to want cheap things, but once we understand the quality of the good stuff, and how much more we wear it, it’s a different game completely.

Ha, growing up in Bmore Co. in the 90s, Karmic Connection was my fave. Totally had forgotten about it.

Yes! I took my mom there about 15 years ago-told her I used to go there ‘all the time’ in high school. They just sold bongs and pipes then.

This was so good. Clothing is so important to me and how it makes me feel is magic. I’ll never have the body I see in magazines, but I can sure work mine in a thrift store. I’ve saved up for Elizabeth Suzann pieces that I wear on repeat and highly recommended. Worth every penny for the fashion and the function.
